2BD4 — Sensor Supply 3 Out Of Range

A sensor supply inside the DME is out of range. Bosch lists 2BD4 as an ECU repair indicator, so it deserves attention when sensor circuits misbehave after the harness and sensors have been proven good.

Common causes on MINI

• Internal DME supply or input-stage failure
• Short to ground or to voltage on a 5 V sensor supply
• Damaged sensor pulling a shared supply down
• Low system voltage during diagnosis
