DSC/ABS Control Unit

The combined hydraulic and electronic unit that manages ABS and stability control and publishes wheel-speed, vehicle-speed and standstill data to the rest of the car. Because other modules depend on those messages, a unit that stops transmitting can present as a dead speedometer with no braking complaint at all. A replacement has to be reset and coded to the vehicle, and the hydraulics bled afterwards.
