80322E — Ultrasonic Sensor, Front Outer Left, Signal Line: Short Circuit To Ground Or Open Circuit

The parking assistant sees no valid signal line to the front outer left ultrasonic sensor. An absent sensor, a disconnected plug and a damaged wire all present the same way, so the position named by the code should be inspected before anything is ordered.

Common causes on MINI

  • Sensor missing or unplugged at that position
  • Damaged or chafed sensor wiring after bumper work or impact
  • Corroded sensor connector
  • Failed sensor
