135A08 — Valvetronic Servomotor Position Sensors, Signal: Not Plausible

The engine module considers the position feedback from the Valvetronic servomotor implausible, so it cannot trust the variable valve-lift position. It is an engine-mechanical and sensor investigation in its own right and should not be bundled into unrelated electrical work.

Common causes on MINI

  • Failing Valvetronic servomotor or its position sensor
  • Wiring or connector fault at the servomotor
  • Mechanical binding in the eccentric shaft assembly
