E11464 — No Message (Vehicle Speed), Receiver Instrument Cluster, Transmitter ICM/DSC

The instrument cluster records that the vehicle-speed message it needs is not arriving from the chassis modules. The cluster does not measure speed; it displays a value supplied to it, so this entry points upstream of the display rather than at the cluster itself.

Common causes on MINI

  • DSC control unit not transmitting
  • Loss of communication between the chassis and body networks
  • Supply or ground fault at the transmitting module
  • Uncoded or incorrectly coded replacement chassis module
