003429 — Engine-Oil Pressure Sensor Plausibility Before Start

The scan tool reported oil pressure implausibly high before the engine started. It is a sensor plausibility finding that needs its own circuit and pressure diagnosis; it does not by itself explain a low-boost or wastegate complaint.

Common causes on MINI

  • Oil-pressure sensor signal implausible with the engine stopped
  • Sensor wiring shorted toward voltage
  • Connector contamination or terminal fault
  • Stored or intermittent sensor plausibility event
